Yesterday, I had the privilege of standing on Capitol Hill with my wife, my team, and some of the most passionate people I’ve ever met. Not to promote a brand, but to help launch something far more powerful: the Make America Healthy Again report. This isn’t just another white paper. It’s a coalition, a rare, bipartisan alignment between major U.S. health agencies (FDA, CDC, USDA, NIH, VA, and HHS) finally uniting behind one goal: - Ending the chronic disease epidemic in our children. - Fixing our broken food system from the soil up. - Cutting the corruption from research to supermarket shelves. The stats are heartbreaking. 40% of children now live with chronic illness. We lead the developed world in childhood obesity. Our kids are being fed hyper-processed, nutrient-void food, and we’ve normalized it. What I witnessed yesterday was bigger than any brand, any influencer, or any administration. It was a government coming together to finally say: enough. I had the honor of sitting down with people like @maxlugavere @DrOz, @DanicaPatrick @ferrisbuhler81 and Rep. Doug Collins, each using their platform to echo this same message: we cannot stay silent. To the unsung heroes, people like @thefoodbabe , @calleymeans , and Catherine Granito who’ve been doing the hard work for years, this is your moment too. We’re just getting started. We resubmitted the small butcher’s application for USDA approval and today we received yet another “DENIED” response with zero explanation why. This type of stuff is why our food system is centralized. Big guys win, little guys get screwed.
Huge problem with the current USDA - they have stopped certifying small butchers. A small butcher that I have been helping get everything in place for USDA certification (started fall 2023) received a call that his application was denied yesterday, with no reason why. @USDA
