I like this theory of Ange he's not a genius or a miracle-worker, he's a reasonable man and an organized boss in a profession filled with psychopaths theguardian.com/football/2023/…
@MC_of_A Id happily hang out with Ange and feel like he and I would be able to have an enjoyable conversation. I’m a die hard city fan and have loved pep since he played but I can’t imagine he’d enjoy hanging out with me or we’d have anything close to an engaging conversation😂
@MC_of_A He's happy to stand on the shoulders of giants and it works because he's genial and has a high EQ.
@MC_of_A side eyes directly at The Emirates
@MC_of_A I've felt this for a while. He's an absolute outlier by just being normal.
@MC_of_A So many leaders (execs probably even more so than coaches) now consider it SOP to "stamp their influence" and justify their position/salary/existence by imposing (even worse when it's branded as "disrupting") things. Exhibit A is the North American soccer addiction to rebrands
@MC_of_A "mostly normal guy that utilizes his lived experience and others expertise to be successful" is too boring for this sport. Gonna find out he free climbs the stadium before every match to provide an offering to the Golden Cockerel or something.
@MC_of_A what makes the theory most unlikely is that it's exactly what we were praying for
@MC_of_A I've spoken to lots who've worked with him and they say he is excellent at just trusting people to do their jobs. He isn't one to be there 7am-9pm every day for the sake of it.
