🚨🎙️ LEO MESSI FULL SPEECH: "I have nothing left to do but thank this shirt. For 20 years, even through the worst moments, I never stopped fighting, pushing forward, giving everything I had and wanting to be here. "Not coming here anymore and no longer being with the Argentina National Team is going to hurt a lot. If it were up to me, I would love to be here for my entire life, because playing for Argentina is the most beautiful thing there is. "I think I’m talking more than ever today because I simply don’t want this moment to end. "But I think the time has come for me to retire. The last World Cup took a lot out of us after everything we went through. We arrived in the final with just enough left in us, but we fought until the very end, like we always did. "We came very close to winning it again, and despite everything that was said about us, nothing strange happened. The match against England took a lot out of us because we gave absolutely everything. "In 2022, we had the dream of fulfilling not only my dream, but the dream of an entire country: becoming world champions again. And we did it. "We won the World Cup, the Copa América, the Finalissima… I’m incredibly grateful for everything I experienced with this National Team. "But this journey wasn’t only about 2022 or this last World Cup. So many teammates fought alongside me for this shirt long before we finally became world champions. Never doubt how much every one of them fought and gave for Argentina. "It was a privilege and an honor to share the pitch with all of my teammates and to share so much of our lives together away from football. Every time we stepped onto the pitch, I knew we could compete against anyone because I had warriors beside me who were willing to leave absolutely everything out there. "To achieve the biggest things, you need a strong group. And it’s during the most difficult moments that you truly discover what kind of team you have. That’s one of the biggest reasons we were able to achieve everything we did. "And especially to this group: THANK YOU. They helped me fulfill the dream I had since I was a child. They helped me become a world champion. "I also want to thank the people. I was lucky enough to play in so many cities across Argentina, and everywhere I went, I received an incredible amount of love. "Throughout all these years, wherever we played in the world, the stadiums were always full of Argentinians. No matter the match or the distance, people made an enormous effort to be there. We know how difficult that is. Wherever we went in the world, it felt like we were playing at home because we could always feel your support. "And that support has to continue. Difficult moments will come, and those are the moments when you have to support the team more than ever. You need strong, united groups because there will always be people who want to see the National Team fail, and we can’t give them that satisfaction. "Here, in this stadium, I experienced one of the happiest days of my life: our first match at home after becoming world champions. It was beautiful. And today might be one of the saddest because I’m standing here saying goodbye. "I’m going to miss all of you so much, but I’ll always be on your side. I’ll be supporting these boys and everyone who comes after them. "There are so many emotions going through me right now. I’m surely forgetting many things I would like to say because this is a very difficult moment for me. The first person who comes to my mind is my dad. "I’m going to miss playing here so much. I love you all, and I’m proud to be Argentine. "I leave grateful, proud and at peace. Thank you for everything.” 🇦🇷❤️

🚨🇩🇪🇦🇷 Hansi Flick wearing Argentina’s No. 10 jersey with MESSI on the back. 🥹💙🤍 In the middle of all the emotions surrounding Lionel Messi’s farewell, this is a beautiful reminder of what he means to football. A German coach wearing the shirt of Argentina’s greatest player. No long speech, no explanation just a jersey carrying the name of a legend who transcended borders, clubs and rivalries. 🌎🐐 🫂 Flick 🤝 Messi Some legends don’t belong to one country. They belong to football. ❤️🇦🇷

🚨 GORDON REVEALS WHAT THE BARÇA BOYS TOLD HIM BEFORE KICK-OFF “I was just saying hello to the Spain lads and they went straight into me,” Gordon told the press. “Rodri said, ‘Gordito, don’t even think about it today. You score against us and you’re getting the worst seat on the bus when you come back to Barcelona.’ 😂 “Pedri looked me dead in the eye and said, ‘If you score today, you better score the first week you come back to the squad. No “I was tired from international duty.” Flick will hear about this conversation.’ That was the deal they gave me , don’t show off today, and if something happens, I owe them when I get back to Barcelona.” 😂

I have never wanted to do this, but my dad and mom need help more than ever right now. Dad can't work for at least 6 months, he's 60, and doesn't have health insurance. Even just sharing this tweet would mean the world to me. Thank you. gofund.me/ab426f3e9

@AndrewLeezus Done and shared! God bless you and your family!!! Good is good! Stay positive and pray! 🩷🙏

Lamine Yamal on Lionel Messi after Spain’s FIFA World Cup triumph over Argentina. 🗣️ Lamine Yamal: “Tonight I lifted the World Cup for Spain, but I also experienced something I’ll tell my children one day. The man who once held me as a baby was standing on the other side of the pitch, fighting for the same dream. Football has a beautiful way of bringing stories full circle.” “When I looked at Messi after the final whistle, I didn’t just see an opponent. I saw the player who made millions of kids, including me, believe football could be art. I saw the man whose videos I watched over and over, trying to copy things that nobody else could do.” “I know this defeat will hurt him. You don’t play with that much passion, carry your country again and again, and lose a World Cup final without feeling pain. Even in defeat, he kept demanding the ball, creating chances and refusing to stop believing. That’s what champions do.” “People will talk about Spain winning this World Cup, and they should. But they’ll also remember that, at an age when most legends have already retired, Messi was still making the world’s best defenders panic every time he touched the ball. That’s extraordinary.” “The photo of Messi bathing me became one of football’s most iconic images. Today we took another picture together, but this time I could thank him face to face. Without players like him, kids like me wouldn’t dare dream this big.” “One day another generation will replace mine too. That’s football. But there will never be another Lionel Messi. Records can be broken and trophies can be won, but inspiring an entire generation to fall in love with the game is something only a few people in history will ever achieve.” “Tonight belongs to Spain. Tomorrow, the debates will continue. But my respect for Lionel Messi will never change. He didn’t need to win this final to prove who he is. For me, he’ll always be one of the greatest players football has ever seen, and sharing the pitch with him was a privilege I’ll carry for the rest of my life.”

@AndrewLeezus Praying for you. 🤍 Remember that God has never asked us to carry our burdens alone. “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.” — Psalm 55:22 One day at a time. Jesus Christ is walking through this with you, even when the road feels heavy. You’re not alone. 🙏

No matter what happens tonight, I am proud of the 2025-26 Phoenix Suns. A team nobody expected to be close to the play-in made the playoffs despite an unreal amount of adversity. Established a culture and gave us so many fun moments. Will forever be one of my favorites ☀️

Minnesota's Donte DiVincenzo has been diagnosed with a torn right Achilles tendon, sources tell ESPN. His season is over with a lengthy recovery. Devastating blow for the Timberwolves starting guard.

@AndrewLeezus That’s what I was thinking!! And what I wouldn’t give to be there!

CRAZY!!!! 🤯 “no basis to any claim of bias or misconduct by game officials” BUT the technical foul “was improperly assessed and it has therefore been rescinded.” MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!! I think the CLOWNS are running the circus! 🤡
