Heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Doom, who has received a three-year, $451,379 grant from the NSF. He will use this award to engage more undergraduate students in research on energy and resource systems and to encourage them to pursue careers in these critical fields.

ME Associate Professor Todd Letcher has recently received 3 NASA awards, including a TechLeap Prize and a SBIR Phase I project for his startup, AeroFly, as well as a prestigious X-Hab grant. In total, Dr. Letcher has secured over $1.5M in NASA funding just this summer.

Congratulations to ME Assistant Professor Shabbir Ahmed, who has received a Competitive Research Grant Award from the South Dakota Board of Regents to develop an advanced Li-ion battery monitory approach utilizing ultrasonic guided waves.

Congratulations to ME Assistant Professor Solaiman Tarafder, who has received a Competitive Research Grant Award from the South Dakota Board of Regents to develop a hydrophilic polydopamine (hPDA)-based tendon healing approach!
