. @CitizensAdvice CEO is clearly strongly personally invested in the idea of transition & has talked about her "son" I wonder what steps the board put in place to make sure the rights of people who don't share the CEO's personal belief are respected? telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/12/0…
One staff member quoted says "“It feels as if there is pressure from the top for volunteers and staff to promote this ideology at all times: to add pronouns to your email, wear pronoun badges and the like. How is that impartial?”"
@MForstater @SamBarber1910 @CitizensAdvice I’ve left a substantial legacy to a charity. They wrote to me (about an event) signed complete with pronouns. This may have been a one off from a particular staff member but I’m worried it’s across the board. I don’t want to support that. I do want to support their aims. Dilemma.
@MForstater @CitizensAdvice People are only motivated to change things, which affects them personally.
@MForstater @CitizensAdvice I think any organisation that receives public funding should be told that they must NOT push gender identity ideology on their staff and customers! It is abelief most don't hold and it is unacceptable to foister it on others! 😡
@MForstater @CitizensAdvice Hurrah for the backlash. It's begun.
@MForstater @CitizensAdvice The local offices pay for membership but have to get their own funding and work independently. This has not hit my, large, office yet. Maybe just a head office thing? They are very monocultural there unlike the local offices in the city.
