@JackCurryYES This is the right move. Boone is the move that is not the right move.

@FiresideYankees @pcaldera It’s pretty pathetic. It’s clear we need changes new players etc but the clearest thing is a new voice. The Yankees are not the Yankees anymore. They are just another mediocre team that makes the playoffs.

@JackCurryYES I will do everything in my power to get fans to never go to games anymore. Consider me like a Portuguese priest in 17th century Japan trying to spread the good word. I will make it my life’s mission. To bring back Boone is literally the definition of not trying to get better

@YankeeLibrarian This is not being talked about enough. This is why the Yankees are no longer the Yankees

@JonHeyman This is the first news we hear from the Yankees “bosses”? That they’re upset about a comment that didn’t even imply their spending? This is exactly what’s wrong with the Yankees. Such arrogance. It’s really sad how far we have fallen. The standard really is gone

@nypost 1 million percent he needs to go how is that even a question? We get owned every single year the same way. Why do the Yankees not see how obvious this is? That’s more concerning to me than most things.

@nypost Boone needs to go..it is so clear and obvious. The problem is we don’t have any Dawgs with urgency. We don’t have any true gamers. I think you can shape your players this way and train urgency but Boone is their friend. He’s manager of the country club. We need a new voice…

@WFAN660 @tommylugauer We don’t have any dawgs on the team. They are country club mentality type players that don’t have the ability to show up when it matters. They make excuses, they get outplayed, and it all starts with the manager

@nypostsports @JonHeyman Unacceptable from the NY media. Enough of lockout this lockout that I don’t think they’ll move on yada yada yada. The clear move, it’s so obvious by the way, is to move on from Boone. They need a new voice to coach these players and change the country club vibe Boone created

@WFAN660 @tommylugauer I’m sick of NY media dancing around this. Boone needs to go and it’s pretty clear cut and obvious. It’s like media doesn’t want to hurt the feelings of Yankee personnel they know. Call a spade a spade. Boone needs to go they need a new voice and it couldn’t be more obvious

@nypostsports @Joelsherman1 How is this even a debate? They need a new voice…why would they keep the same stale leader around after 9 years of the same thing happening? If he’s kept that’s not commitment from Hal and it proves they don’t care about winning the WS.

@RealMichaelKay These other teams work our aces hard in the playoffs and put together good at bats, good approaches etc… why do we always get mowed down with ease with terrible approaches and no working of counts against their aces? Lombard was the only Yankee to work a count last night….

@RealMichaelKay Why is it always “we have to be at the top of our game to beat the rays or jays or astros or dodgers” … with our payroll and history shouldn’t it be “these other teams have to play clean and do the little things to beat the New York Yankees”…. We’ve turned into an easy out

@RealMichaelKay Don’t want to hear lockout this lockout that no changes etc..enough! We get mowed down every year. Players have terrible approaches at the plate. No working of counts. The only thing that can help is A CHANGE…Other teams have known for years how to beat this Yankee approach

@RealMichaelKay I know it’s tough for you to say everything on your mind. You work for the Yankees and have relationships to maintain. You’re also a good guy and do not bash people or call for jobs. It’s time to call a spade a spade tho. Even if Boone isn’t responsible it’s time for a change

@RealMichaelKay There simply are no justifications for getting out-played every post season. And it isn’t even close … they aren’t even competitive in these games. It’s easy for the other teams. They can’t wait to play us they know they’ll win. A new voice is the first step to change that.
