#BSE18 Education and Enlightenment are independent of each other. Education does help with enlightenment, but I have a hunch that the kind of indoctrination that takes place in western institutes doesn't help much.

#BSE18 I told a European American person who studied on the Pittsburgh main campus about Qatar Foundation's 0-interest loan and the work-to-pay-it-off option, and he was blown out of his mind. Sadly, interest has remained to be the only option for students.

#BSE18 Ayn Rand's philosophy continues to fail in many examples - banks are one of them. The NINJA loans reeked of Randism. And failed miserably - because banks were being too selfish.

#BSE18 The western world will shut down if interest is removed from their transactions. Selfishness is so central to the culture that even a parent charges interest upon a loan to his own child. Sad.

#BSE18 Consider a poor man coming to you for a loan. You give it to him on a 15 percent interest rate. If he had the extra money to give you your interest, he wouldn't ask you for a loan to begin with.
