@fedsm0kr @ethankpritchard @CurtisA93973183 @MMFlint No skin off my back, 'mate'. I live in a country where I don't even think twice about sending my kids to school or about going to a cinema or shop (or literally anywhere) for fear of being SHOT. 😬😊

@djinngimlet It appears he was looking to commit suicide by police - he yells at them to shoot him, I'm guessing he was attempting to yell out alluhu akbar to provoke them

@newscomauHQ @billshortenmp Noone is saying he's not entitled to his views, he's just not entitled to represent Australian rugby with bigoted views that don't align with his employer whilst breaching contract. He's entitled to say what he wants and his employer is entitled to end his contract accordingly!

@KylieLuka @LiberalAus And one day you will be a retiree, how will you feel when all of your life savings and hard work are targeted? Are we wanting to discourage people from being self funded and encourage welfare reliance? May as well all put our hands out for welfare hey?

@stewartj777 @JimKariljim @NathanLee @FinancialReview @AustralianLabor @patrickdurkin "Dividends are paid out of profits which have already been subject to Australian company tax which is currently 30%. This means that shareholders receive a REBATE for the tax paid by the company on profits distributed as dividends."

@Left_of_Labor The rest of the world has the full dividend paid to the individual, then the tax is taken out at the individuals rate. It's the same result. In Australia the company is doing the individual a favour (like your employer does) and is paying the tax for you.

@Left_of_Labor If I actually was in a higher tax bracket than 30% I wouldn't get a frankingcredit I'd have to pay extra tax to make it up. It's simple maths and you are spreading lies by saying it's free money or a tax dodge or greedy.

@ACFlory @zakatak888 @maybelleb3 refinancing loans for the sake of it to receive an up front payment again. I fear this behaviour could creep up if the financial incentives change, 99% of brokers do the right thing but it's the bad eggs that will be influenced wrongly, no matter what the structure.

@ACFlory @zakatak888 @maybelleb3 ...the only thing brokers base which bank to place a client with now is interest rate and bank policy. Policy differs across banks and that's also why people go to a broker.
