President Obama connected with me -his deep empathy for others and commitment to service and family. He represented a sea change for the good- a hope for more. The chance for this country to truly represent us all. I literally cried when the orange narcissistic conman was elected. He brought the Big Lie day one- obsessed with crowd size. He used the office of the Presidency to openly attack others. To bring out the worst -urging people to act on twisted beliefs. A lot of really ugly sick people ran with it- modeled themselves after him. It was shock to me. The contrast between President Obama and Conman Criminal Trump couldn’t be more stark. Two alternate worlds. A world of light (Obama) or a world of darkness (Trump) As we prepare for the 2024 election keep these two worlds in mind. That is what you are choosing between. President Biden is committed to healing America- to equality- and he has empathy and experience. and boy do we need that now. Your vote matters. Use it for good. Vote for the light #VoteBlue2024 #DemVoice1 #FreshStrong
@ungemarg @1zzyzyx1 I cried like a baby when I had to accept he had won. Haven’t been the same person since .
@ungemarg @dondee110 You know, I didn’t cry. I did go into a state of clinical depression for about two months though.
@ungemarg You are not alone. I cried every day for over a month after that election night. People told me I had to give T a chance, but I was - filled - with dread. Sadly, I was right
@ungemarg Nicely said! And after that election, like so many others here, I cried. I also had to try to find the words for my adult children who were both devastated. All of the concerns were real… look where were after those 4 years of Hell. Look where we are now.
@ungemarg It’s comforting to know I wasn’t the only one crying that morning, one of the worst days I can remember….a nightmare that just won’t end 😔
@ungemarg Obama was a scam, an apologist with heapings of arrogance. The new beginning of racial divide started at his doorstep.
