The Tooro new king HRM King Edward Rukidi Nyabongo l did not plan for this. He was focused on his private life, circumstances radically changed and he’s suddenly faced with big responsibilities. He didn't campaign for the throne. Our King Oyo was groomed from age 3, Edward was pulled from a newsroom at 56 as the only option for the continuity of the Tooro dynasty. We should stop comparing him. He did not ask for this. People are comparing King Edward Rukidi as if he lobbied, campaigned, and schemed to replace King Oyo. He did not. Actually he accepted the heavy responsibility when someone else eligible said NO dur to his family responsibilities in the UK and more… Our King Oyo was born to be King. He was groomed from childhood, crowned at 3, carried the kingdom for 31 years. That was his destiny. Edward's destiny was different. He built a quiet life as a journalist, a father, a private citizen. He was not in royal meetings, not posting crowns, not positioning himself. He was reading the 9pm news. When the Babiito clan elders led by Musuuga sat and chose him, it was their decision under Tooro custom, not his application. You cannot compare a man for not being King Oyo. Oyo was flamboyant, young, world-famous. Edward is 56, calm, low-profile. Tooro needs different things at different times. He did not steal a throne. He was handed a heavy crown in the middle of a funeral as the only last option for the continuity of the Tooro dynasty. CLARIFICATION: He was not elected. Tooro had to have a King on the throne within 9 days after Oyo's death as per custom — to perform the Karambi burial rites. There was no proven son of our beloved king Oyo presented to the Babiito elders. So the Royal Clan Council had to SELECT a new Omukama from the Babiito princes. That's what they did. Not an election. Not a popular vote, but a cultural selection. Prince Desmond was first choice and said no. Prince Edward accepted a huge kingdom responsibilities. It's selection by culture, not election by ballot. Respect the culture. I urge the Batooro If you loved Tooro under Omukama Oyo, show that love now by giving Tooro stability. Allow the new Omukama space to breathe, to learn the rituals, to mourn his cousin, and to grow into Rukidi Nyabongo I. The throne is not a competition. It's a responsibility one can never imagine. Let him work. #TooroKingdom #Nyabong l

@investigator_ug Rest with the Angels dear Lady of Substance

@investigator_ug Bambi RIP Henrietta, we shall miss you dearly 💔

It was sometime around August 2018 when I was going through tough times. I had just finished talking to Ndugu Fred about my plight when he called again. Out of the blue, he told me she had offered me UGX2M as her contribution. I was confused because I had not asked him to tell anybody. It seems she had eavesdropped our chat. I was so humbled. It’s from then that I realized Henrietta wasn’t just an acquaintance. She was a true friend. When I called to thank her, she said it was me at the time but everyone, her inclusive face such trying moments. Yesterday at St. Gyaviira Catholic Church in Bunnamwaya, testimonies were given. There are children who’s school attendance stopped instantly, for she was the one paying for them. I realized my case wasn’t isolated. As she searched for her own children, she in the meantime adopted as many as her meager wallet could accommodate. At 46, she had finally conceived with twins. She now looked forward to being a real mother herself. On Friday, she drove out of Naguru Police Headquarters, her workplace for 20yrs, to her home . Reaching home, she developed difficulty in breathing. But no one at home knew how to drive. She elected to rest and wait until morning. Come morning, she struggled to drive to a certain heath facility in Kitebi, but getting there, her situation required oxygen which wasn’t in stock. From here, they tried to help her reach another hospital but along the way, she gave up. She didn’t give up on herself alone. She inevitably gave up on the babies as well!😢😢 At church, no one managed to maintain dry eyes as we listened to her ordeal, now being told on her behalf! Most of us blamed ourselves. Maybe a check-up call that night would save the three lives. But it was, and will eternally remain too late. We are so sorry our friend. Till we meet, Sail well Henrietta😢😢😢😢😢🙏🏾🙏🏾

@mukigawamuhoozi You obviously didn't hear about the 100m mabugo Buganda sent. Kati compare that to 10 cows!

@lunajaxe @omo_ding @ekiggundu Thank you, two buns, eggs, milk, avocado, fruits. Infact we don't know how the school admin does it!

@taye_edgar @ekiggundu Huge, when /if u ever became a parent there you'll read about it all in the AGM report. As parents of Tricona, we're very happy with our school, its education, social, religious, feeding etc . It's educating a full rounded lady of Substance

@BossyUgandan @AbelOpolot @ekiggundu Btw, the so called Gov't aid is less than 20% of the school budget anyway

@mutungilmjz @ekiggundu What's your problem. Give to Ceasar what belongs to him.....if the White Fathers didn't build these schools in the first place, what would be yapping about 🤔. Gov't has alot of money, let it build first class schools

@Mmambojp @gamwera @ekiggundu @TRICONAOfficial @HonNambooze What audit? Is Nambooze Auditor General?? Why don't you pple first ask yourself what's the cost of running these schools. You want first class service at a budget cost!

@ekiggundu Nabbingo is audited by auditor general, most recent report clear. It's also the only school to ever submit report to the Institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), financial reporting review. Btw sample other similar schools, it charges the least school fees!

@CanaryMugume Look at you...uv even forgotten that's it's your role as the King's subjects to ensure there's plenty of food in the palace. You should be bringing your cows etc and ensure the palace is bountiful!

Thank you, dear Old Girls! You made the TCNOGA Sports Gala (Legacy Edition) on 8 Aug 2026 colourful and unforgettable. Our gratitude to all TCNOGA family members, friends, and well-wishers. We are realizing our dream - Trinity Junior School, Nabbingo. #LegendsBuildLegacy
