@RexVolcano It’s what it is already. The Big 12 and ACC are the new mid-majors. We just haven’t been calling it that.

@eSECpn I’ve been pro-BCS for decades. The 24-team destroys the identity that CFB has built and thrived on for a century. Big, meaningful games on campus in the fall has provided the best regular season of any American sport. That’s gone by the wayside now. Another tournament sport now.

@SportsTalk_304 @johnehoover No. Never that good. Had great speed and a competitor. Couldn’t throw at all. The first 5 minutes of the South Carolina game in ‘24 was an absolute disaster and it reflected who he was at the time.

@SoonerJackz Since he’s third string, I doubt that’ll be a possibility.

@MichaelWBratton Coaches should keep their mouths shut. He’s in a self-serving capacity. The 24 was invented for programs like Kentucky to get in, hang a banner and claim bragging rights for making the tournament. He’s not a fan thus has no credibility on the subject

@PDawg206 Don’t forget OU would still totally be alive. Yes, THAT Sooner team would still be alive. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@_TRAV23 It was different. We’d gone thru the Gibbs and Schnellenberger years of mediocrity already and then it got worse. It was far more apathy in the fan base. Felt like surrendering and accepting of being bad. There wasn’t actual hope of being competitive under Blake.

@McShay13 The outcomes of the games don’t have the same meaning. OU has looked like ass offensively and they’re 3-3. They don’t deserve mulligans but they’d still have a clear path to the CFP. Regular season has always been about excellence, not mulligans. Horrible for the sport.

@theFrenzied There is no solution for 2026. Whatever they’re doing re: contact in practice, it produces an enormous amount of injuries. Injuries have been a problem since he got here. Can’t be an excuse for poor play at this point. We’re in this spot because of BV’s approach to contact.

@StillyState Here’s the explanation. The AP means absolutely nothing, on any level. It’s purely for discussion. Look at it that way, accept it for what it is.
