I’m convinced the Palestinian pursuit of statehood is not about building their own state, but about eliminating other states, starting with Israel, then even my country Lebanon. Philistine identity rests on elimination, not self-realization.

I’ll always celebrate Syrians' freedom from Bashar Assad's criminal rule. The Syrian civil war shattered my old beliefs in Islam & made me see its ugly face without makeup. But why God allowed Al-Julani to rise to power, only time will tell.
