This is a flight video of travel I did from a very remote zinc mining camp in The Yukon Territory back to Vancouver BC in 2012. It shows how beautiful the mountains of the Yukon and British Columbia are. Another job I did providing internet service for a very remote zinc mining camp. The people in this part of Canada are so friendly. I still miss them to this very day! Hope you enjoy!

This is a 6 minute video I put together of a Snow Cat ride from a very remote exploration camp in the Arctic back to the city of Rankin Inlet, Canada from 2012. One wrong move by the driver and we would have been goners, deep into the icy waters below us. This is back when I was traveling the world doing satellite dish installations and repair before I closed my business in 2021. It was too cold on this trip to fly a helicopter out there, -42 degrees Celsius, so the only option was a Snow Cat. Once temps hit -72 degrees Celsius, you couldn’t even go out of the tents for more than minutes, or you would freeze to death or suffer extreme frostbite. This was to provide internet and telephone service to the exploration camp. I loved my trips to this site! So remote. There were only about 35 camp members. A 20 km ride across ice. The people, especially the natives in Nunavut were so cool. The Canadian people were so friendly and welcoming. I loved all my trips to Canada back then. Thought I’d share it with the X community. Atlas Falls! In the attached video clip you can see comet Atlas disintegrate on its last voyage by the sun. It’s that rocket looking object shooting up to the sun in the right bottom corner of the video clip. Then right after it, an M5 solar flare explosion occurs that “appears to me” came from sunspot region AR3869 (I may be wrong) which grew fast today and now has a Beta-Gamma-Delta magnetic field that harbors energy for X class (large) flares. “In my opinion” from data I’ve looked at, it was facing earth when this M5 flare occurred. Nothing to worry about. M5 flares occur frequently during this highly active solar cycle 25 we are at the peak of. I’m sure the experts at @NWSSWPC are analyzing this flare, but in my “opinion”, there does “appear” to be an earth bound CME element that could spark “some” beautiful auroras in the northern hemisphere. It could cause some geomagnetic disturbances, but probably nothing more than a G1 or G2 geomagnetic storm. We are currently in a S2 solar storm according to today’s data. Those sparkles in the video clip are not stars. They are protons (mass ejected from the sun) passing by the GOES satellite coronagraph that came from the large X flare that occurred 2 days ago. There are currently 11 active sunspot regions on the sun’s disk facing earth and more emerging. Total sunspot numbers on both sides of the sun total 195. Much higher than previously predicted for the peak of solar cycle 25. This comes as no surprise to me. You can scroll down my timeline and see why I forecasted warmer weather coming back for the next couple of weeks. Regions like AR3872 are about to be directly facing earth in about 2 to 3 days and harbors energy that could release X flares and spark magnificent beautiful auroras farther south than normal. I highly recommend following @NWSSWPC for real time space weather alerts, aurora alerts, geomagnetic storm alerts and “possible” emergency alerts. NWSSWPC (National Weather Service Space Weather Prediction Center) is our first line of defense in the event of a space weather or earth weather emergency. Everybody on X and Twitter should be following them. Video clip credit goes to @NWSSWPC and the great teams at @NASA and @NWS who keep us informed of earth weather and space weather events.
