reminder that ben shapiro's weird vendetta against hollywood began when he was denied a writing job on 'the good wife'
@MarlowNYC They all seem to have that in common, failed writers like @bannon_2024 as well, As Clooney said "Steve Bannon is a little wannabe writer who would do anything in the world to have had a script made in Hollywood. He wrote one of the worst scripts I’ve ever read—and I’ve read it"
@MarlowNYC This is the first I’m hearing of this. Is it possible this is an agenting fuck-up? We actually wanted conservative voices on Good Wife. Admittedly, Good Fight became more anti-Trump, but that was more an aversion to a celebrity-wannabe like Trump than an aversion to conservatism
“The Good Wife was fantastic and as far as the scripts, no Barbie,s were cast. Is this why he’s ranting about his mediocrity and pubescent Barbie propaganda. Our Byline needs to read ‘Disco Inferno’ - Burn Barbie Burn stunt by Ben Shapiro, the hottest theatre ticket $155.000.000 in sales. Ben only got mockery credit! Yousa! Now, that’s no talent!”
@MarlowNYC I didn't know this... seems pretty petty...bringing up a "possible" incident back in the day. I guess you've never been "denied" anything; explains your whining and jealousy. I only know Shapiro from his multi-million dollar success of @realDailyWire. Who are you???
@MarlowNYC His parents were in the industry and he still couldn't break in. So I'm going to guess it's less about politics and more about not having the talent. It is a business and if producers/execs saw value in his work where they can make money they'd jump at the chance.
@MarlowNYC And even then, the only reason he had his "foot in the door" in the first place was because he was a Hollywood nepo baby. Wiki: "His parents both worked in Hollywood. His mother was a TV company executive, and his father, David Shapiro, worked as a composer."
@MarlowNYC Yes clearly the multimillion dollar empire known as The Daily Wire was plan B….
@MarlowNYC Just as DeSantis turned against Disney at age 15 when he wasn’t hired due to an acute case of social awkwardness!
