Experts predict tax hikes in budget as Trudeau government stretches to pay for its promises. You don't say. Freeland's spending is so out-of-control, that borrowing alone, is not enough to cover her expenses. I predict tomorrow's budget will have a $75-90 billion deficit as well as new taxes. Options for new taxes. Lower the personal exemption amount. Increase the middle tax rate to 23%. Death/estate tax. Tax the capital gains on sale of principal properties. Lower the mandatory RIFF age to 70 or 71. cbc.ca/news/politics/…
@Martyupnorth_2 We are already taxed to the hilt. Can we really take on any more taxes? When is enough, enough? This government is so out of touch with reality.
@Martyupnorth_2 Bank of Montreal senior economist Robert Kavcic said a wealth tax & targeted corporate tax changes “would be on board for the current government.” 🤢 See more working economists' views (no left-wing academics) from @curryb & @MariekeWalsh in @globeandmail >>
@Martyupnorth_2 My FAIR SHARE taxation has been exceeded long ago…. Wifey made a spread sheet of our investments & holdings…yes I could maybe retire, BUT I have little clue how much could be ‘confiscated’ upon death and how expensive the cost of living will become I’m very scared for my kids
@Martyupnorth_2 Make capital gains inclusion rate 100% (Investment will grind to a standstill) Wealth tax (Uber wealthy will leave) Windfall tax on AB/SK based industries (Oil/Gas etc.) Why is Alberta part of Canada again?
The capital gains tax on housing makes the most sense, it especially lines up well with their housing crisis push. They will claim it will slow down people from selling their homes and putting the price of homes up. Rather, home prices will go through the roof with tighter inventory. A windfall tax is also an option.
@Martyupnorth_2 They need to stop this runaway train
@Martyupnorth_2 Yet another example of Trudeau making life more affordable for Canadians. At this rate they'll just take 100% of everything we make by the time we're all forced to drive electric vehicles. @liberal_party
@Martyupnorth_2 A rounding error with this NDP/LPC coalition.
@Martyupnorth_2 I seriously hope your predictions are wrong but if not…. I predict the final nail in the Liberal’s coffin … albeit, an easy prediction on anyone’s part.
@Martyupnorth_2 And some Canadians will still vote Liberal🙈
