@MattStrassler @andrewtanyongyi I like the point you made about "the God particle" description not even holding up on its own terms. This particle is fleeting rather than timeless, largely non-interacting rather than 'interventionist', and only really appears when summoned by colliders. It's very awkward.
@MattStrassler @DanielWhiteson FYI I read your book. Loved the way you built up, from mass, coasting, music, to fields and eventually to the Higgs. I'm going to re-read a couple of those chapters. I would have actually said the wavefunction IS in the room with us, but yours is a much cooler explanation.
