I said that the key to losing weight is to eat less and exercise more and this "metabolic health practitioner" finds that idea so absurd that she assumes it must be a joke.

@MattWalshBlog Matt , you really need take a few steps back as you’re not right all the time and what I’ve seen here on X you don’t take any kind of criticism, constructive or not! She actually has a valid point!!
Matt, you need to do some more research on this one. @drjasonfung @KenDBerryMD If you restrict calories, you will slow your metabolism and will eventually gain the weight back. It's what you eat that's important. If you eat the right food you will be full and lose weight. youtube.com/watch?v=Kvqix5…
@MattWalshBlog we love ya, but you're not entirely correct. The time and type of food one eats has the most effect on their weight loss. Exercising more will in fact increase one's appetite. This uses calories (energy), so the body asks for more through hunger. Eating less food while your body requires more is not sustainable. It doesn't really makes sense either - if I require 2400 calories per day to maintain my weight, you would think that eating 2000 calories per day would mean I must be losing weight, but the body adapts. It will adapt into something that requires only 2000 calories to maintain my weight, meaning that my muscle will atrophy, and my metabolism overall will slow. The better approach is intermittent fasting, and eating animal based diet like the woman above. You don't need to restrict calories, just the time that you consume them. Most people advocating intermittent fasting eat nothing during the day, then have a large meal in the evening. it's very satisfying and yes, it does work. You're "resetting" your metabolism and insulin sensitivity, otherwise known as your "set point", which is generally the weight that people maintain naturally with their current diet.
@MattWalshBlog Roxana seems to understand the importance of protein and satiation Just look at her results More people actually need to hear what she's saying May God be with you both 🙏 ❤️
@MattWalshBlog Eat less move more is TRASH 🗑️ My receipts Forget about the fact that I have two board certifications including obesity medicine I have RECEIPTS 🧾
@MattWalshBlog If you only eat meat. All your fat will fall off. You wont feel hungry, and steak tastes awesome. Dont fiddle around with diets that are hard.
@MattWalshBlog It's simple math... You eat less = Less energy intake. You exercise more = More energy consumption. Eating less and exercising more is the best medicine, period.
@MattWalshBlog Common sense works every time it is tried. When you look at health officials, the world over, do you think they care about you or protecting their lifestyle? Stay tethered to reality.
@MattWalshBlog Sounds like she went low carb. That's what works best for me as well. Eat a lot of Protein and fat, and ditch most of the carbs. You'll find you're satisfied and will eat less calories to boot. Exercise is good as well, but it's mostly about what you eat.
@MattWalshBlog What you eat does play a role. But she conflates eating less with starving oneself lol. A very simple concept to adhere to: - Moderate hand-to-mouth - Increase feet-to-ground Being lazy makes for an easy habit; being obese makes for a difficult life.
