I love the story of how TLC’s smash hit song “Waterfalls” was created from The Art Of Organized Noize @netflix documentary.
It's the bass player casually dropping that epic ass bassline for me
@MatthewACherry @netflix It’s the way you know these people are artists based off the way they went right back to the moment in emotion, speech, allat… like I felt like I was damn near in the studio recording waterfalls with them lol
@MatthewACherry @clarencehilljr @netflix Magic can happen at anytime at anyplace. Go with your guts!!
@MatthewACherry @netflix It should be criminal for any radio station to play this song without Left Eyes rap in the middle.
@MatthewACherry @netflix I used to think this song was about one specific person, named JASON waterfalls. I thought it was a cautionary tale and that they were talking to him the whole song. When the chorus came I thought they were saying “GO GO JASON WATERFALLS” like they were rooting him on. Lol.
@MatthewACherry @netflix This shit right here is why I do what I do tryna capture a moment in a bottle like this
@MatthewACherry @netflix This is outstanding! Appreciate seeing genius at work.
@MatthewACherry @netflix I don’t see it on Netflix 😭😭😭
@MatthewACherry @netflix And yes that is Sleepy Brown! I can’t wait! I love the way you move! Allot of people probably didn’t even know he was part of organized noize
