@SandyofSuffolk No, it’s shared responsibility. If you’re going to be such an entitled generation you can accept responsibility for all the stuff you did breaking the economy.

@AlkernS71 @benonwine That’s why the trump administration are stopping and censoring journalists and the right are on a crusade to silence anyone who disagrees with them worldwide.

@benonwine So, someone broke the law, and you are calling for two tier justice.

@KenWhistance @martb1985 My grandfather who was born in 1914 had a pension and took personal financial responsibility for his and my grandmas income being guaranteed when they retired. If your financial planning is to live on benefits once you retire then don’t get upset when the benefits change.

@KenWhistance Stop being such a drama queen. If the state pension went back to being means tested then it would stop being a lifestyle payment and be paid to only those that need it. That’s what should happen. Your bad financial planning isn’t other generations problem.

@RedRosa91940184 It should go back to being means tested. It’s supposed to be a safety net not a lifestyle choice. If you’ve not taken personal responsibility for your own finances why should everyone else pay you handsomely?

@snowleopardess If it continues there won’t be a state pension benefit to claim. So either take a small cut to your benefits now or lose them completely for future generations. The benefits system needs returning to being a safety net not a lifestyle choice, all of it should be means tested.

@AmeliaJ75679765 Could just means test everything in the welfare state and use the billions saved to fund these things. Too many people view the things it provides as lifestyle choices instead of a safety net. We need to especially remind the older generations what it is there for.

@K6HolteEnd @HeeksTom @JethrosMate1999 It’s not supposed to be comfortable living on benefits, it’s supposed to be a safety net. All benefits should go back to being means tested.

@K6HolteEnd @IanJon407 @JethrosMate1999 If you made the conscious decision to become a burden on the state welfare system instead of taking personal financial responsibility then that’s not everyone else’s problem. It’s a safety net not a lifestyle choice.
