No, I do not want to "celebrate my X anniversary." First off, this place is "Twitter," not "X." Second, it's a cesspool, which is why I'm more interested in Bluesky. Get Elon off of here--I'd celebrate that.

Saw #PoorThings again tonight. I'd ranked as the best movie of the year. It's beautiful, emotional, and so very smart. After a second viewing, I find I underestimated it. This is likely the best movie since 2000, and maybe in the last 40 years. IGo out to see it. Do it now.
What the hell was wrong with so many of you? Yes, #TheMarvels is good. And if you weren't listing to trolls on social media, you'd have known that when it came out, not many months later when it's on @DisneyPlus Everyone is posting surprise about it. It isn't surprising.
On to @mrbrianrowe 's Makeup Oscar predictions. I'll be sad if Poor Things doesn't win. It should. Rather depressing that Maestro's the favorite. Big time agree the general snubs for horror. Again, Oppenheimer shouldn't be here.
Watching @mrbrianrowe 's Oscar predictions for Costume Design. Happy they're thinking Barbie will win (as do I); I think it's most deserving, w/ Poor Things next. 2 films w/ amazing costumes. Not happy Oppenheimer is there. So many better choices in SF. Asteroid City anyone?
In honor of Black History month, Toby Keith has died.
I have not yet decided if I will perform at the #GRAMMYs2024. I see no reason to factor into my decision the issue of if they have asked me to.
Most of Japan's films burned in WWII, but Girls at the Harbor survives, a silent film by Hiroshi Shimizu. It's shaped like a melodrama, but is a statement on loss and redemption, and the incursion of the Western world in to Japan. It's easily one of the best films of 1933.
"I must go punch that baby"
If we invent time travel, the most important thing to do is travel to the 1960s and get Julie Andrews to star in all movies.
So this is now a video platform according to Elon. Huh. I think of it more as a sinking platform.
Are there a lot of people who think water stops magnetism?
Glynis Johns has died at 100 years of age. I'd call that a good run. My 8 favorite films of hers: The Thief of Bagdad (1940) 49th Parallel (1941) Miranda (1948) The Card (1952) Mad About Men (1954) The Court Jester (1955) Mary Poppins (1964) While You Were Sleeping (1995)
Today is the only day this year you can retweet this #NewYear2024 #DoctorWho
P20 – Classic Christmas Movies The Lion in Winter (1968). I end my listing of classics with the story of Henry II's Christmas court, which has perhaps the finest acting in cinema from O'Toole, Hepburn, Hopkins, & Dalton. Save it for Xmas day to get the true meaning of family.
