I see that there’s a competition between the media, the Met and government ministers as to who can make the most prejudicial public statements in a live criminal investigation. The new @attorneygeneral is going to need to brush up on contempt of court.

Are prisoners released for "good behaviour"? It's, in fact, only one area of a huge amount of evidence that is examined when assessing what risk an individual may pose when released. Some of the most dangerous offenders can also be some of the best-behaved prisoners.

We have listed a record 806 cases for September across 463 Parole Board panels. That beats our previous busiest month of March 2019 by 68. We continue to list a huge number of hearings, with no signs of a backlog, despite ongoing restrictions & have returned to pre-covid levels.
