I rarely, if ever, use the term virtual assistant (VA). If you do, I think you’re limiting yourself. Our incredible full time, Philippines based staff accountant: 1. Has a masters 2. Teaches our CFO quickbooks tips 3. Makes $1500 a month Is that really a “VA”? I say nahh
@MatznerJon 10/10. When people use the phrase VA, they often mean … “person who I don’t care for as deliberately as other teammates”
@MatznerJon Amazing. Did you CFO source the accountant or did you? I've found our functional heads e.g. CFO, Head of Design, struggle to get on-board with offshoring.
@MatznerJon I’ve been adamant about calling them virtual employees. VA is limiting
@MatznerJon Well said. I don’t like the term VA for similar reasons. It undersells.
@MatznerJon Agree 100%. They are not VAs. They are our Philippines team. It’s that simple. We are looking for a great staff accountant. If your team member has any referrals, DM me! Our team is employed by our Ph subsidiary and receives improved health care, flexible vacation, etc 😀
