70% of TTC rides start or end with a bus or streetcar. Unpredictable schedules and slow service are a headache that impact thousands every single day. Today, we moved to start work to speed up TTC buses across four of the busiest routes with priority lanes and signalling.
@MayorOliviaChow Til '70% of TTC rides start or end with a bus or streetcar'
@MayorOliviaChow So the plan is to speed up the race to the bottle neck?
@MayorOliviaChow We need to make bikeshare included in the cost of ttc tickets so that if there are problems we can use the bikeshare for the first or last part of the trip…
Stop putting traffic-clogging bike lanes on major thoroughfares and traffic (including buses) will move faster. Bike lanes should be reserved for 2nd or 3rd-busiest streets, NOT main drags like Yonge. Ridiculous. And they’re only used 6mos a year by a fraction of the population. Virtue signalling at its finest.
@MayorOliviaChow This is great news! Thank you Mayor for listening to the concerns of residents and commuters!
@MayorOliviaChow What happened this am Olivia?? How many were late for work? #TTC Trains not stopping at St George due to overcrowding. Line 1 Trains will not be stopping at St. George Station. Transfer to shuttle buses. Are #transit cops still a thing?
@MayorOliviaChow Toronto ranks one of the worst worldwide for traffic congestion, Why is this topic is always ignored Talks maybe . But no action on it
@MayorOliviaChow Streetcars you can never speed up. They are a menace for traffic causing gridlock & breaking down constantly. Time for green buses!
