Been polishing the little interactions in MOCKED lately.
Mulligan used to feel like pressing a button — now I wanted the hand to actually feel like it’s being swallowed back into the deck. 🃏
Small change, but the table feels way more alive now.

@Benji_Dixon Diving straight into GameMaker for your first solo project is a bold leap, yet seeing tangible movement on screen makes the syntax headaches totally worth it.
Feature creep is the enemy of shipping. We often get stuck endlessly polishing a single mechanic instead of finishing the game.
Where do you draw the line? How do you decide a feature is finally "good enough" to move on? #gamedev#indiedev
If a game takes longer than an elevator ride to explain, players bounce. We're forced to design 60-second dopamine loops. But chasing instant retention kills storytelling and the game's artistic soul. #indiegame
Can we still build meaningful worlds in just 60 seconds?
How late can you parry?
In Parry you deflect every shot at the last split second and send it back. 100 handcrafted levels, bosses, global leaderboards, no internet needed.
What would your best be?

In my #rpgmaker game you capture knights, bird people and demons in the Purgatorial Realms.
Over 100 unique Hollows, each with their own unique skillsets, evolutionary forms and mechanics

@MoyoJiwe Pivoting gameplay this late in development is always terrifying. Did the new fun factor come from changing the room pacing or the core abilities?
@ZenChaiFX@VFXApprentice Using signed-distance fields with animated noise gives watercolor effects so much organic life. Are you calculating that growth curve in the vertex shader or driving it via a material parameter?
I finally fixed the stability issue with the attacks, it no longer misses and won't jitter as much.
I also added dust particles which I honestly don't think it looks all that great.

@ZenChaiFX@VFXApprentice Layering noise over a radial expansion gives such an organic edge compared to standard math. Are you handling the soft paper bleed in the same material graph?
