Twitter, I'm curious: if you had to pick one acting winner whose #Emmys victory changed their career in the last 20 years, who would it be?
@Memles Cranston? Would AMC have stuck with that show past season 2 without that?
@Memles I like the Uzo Aduba suggestion but would add Patricia Arquette at that point in her career.
@Memles Alec Baldwin's resurgence after the start of 30 Rock comes to mind
@Memles Sterling K. Brown’s win for the OJ show really propelled him forward. Now it feels like he’s always nominated!
@Memles Do we need to distinguish between the role and the award? Jon Hamm was going to be a star from Mad Men regardless. Jodie Comer and Julia Garner, too. I'd say for the award doing more heavy lifting, Aaron Paul, Uzo Aduba and Rami Malek.
@Memles It’s hard to separate the Emmy from the performance (and actor) as being the “change” factor, but the names that I thought of were Sterling K Brown, Rami Malek, Uzo Abuba and Michael Emerson.
@Memles Would Kyle Chandler be in as many movies without his surprise Emmys win? Felt like a jump from cult/critical favorite to a larger career.
