Merc @Merc_WD

@UncSupply @WARDOGS Documenting some nerfs and not documenting others. Really confusing considering the devs have had amazing communication in other aspects.

@loversthink There are still 15 helis every game, in their podcast today they actually said the amount of players in helicopters went up 2.5 percent.

I'm really interested to see if a couple of things are addressed in this dev vlog. First, will they explain what data was used to justify nerfing helicopters into the ground? Will they acknowledge the silent nerfs to helicopter durability and maneuverability? I'd also like to see better balancing decisions moving forward. Helicopters took a massive hit this patch, and it feels like we're paying a premium price for something that performs significantly worse than before. We essentially got a dirt helicopter with a premium price tag this patch, and that is NOT it. #wardogs

We have a lot to discuss. New VLOG is dropping next week. Season 2 Reflection & Season 3 Preview. We will also be piloting a new podcast format focused on recapping the Season 2 launch this weekend. More content, more context, more WARDOGS.

@AimbotAimy Welcome to the club fam

@LexyyyUWU @SilkOCE @HiebDE @AdamPohh This shouldn't be used as data because I am considered an outlier. The average pilot isn't doing this lol.

Clearly the minigun little bird needs more nerfs 😂 @SilkOCE @HiebDE @AdamPohh #WARDOGS

@YumeJDM @YTGamehunter @HiebDE @SilkOCE @AdamPohh Yep every death is a heli death.

@N0TReq @fahtbags I fly regardless if I lose or earn money. When I launch the game I play the game how I choose to play lol. Honestly, I could care a less about the documented nerfs. The ones I dislike, are the ones that are not documented.

@AdamPohh Most interesting change i've seen lol.

This was a great video to watch. I plan on uploading my full reaction tonight, but I wanted to share a few key takeaways. First, please stop listening to a select group of players and drastically changing entire roles based on their opinions. People invest hundreds of hours into mastering certain roles in this game, and for many, those roles become a huge part of their identity as players. When you drastically change how those roles function, it can negatively impact the experience of those who have dedicated so much time to them. Second, you guys had a vision for this game, and that vision is what attracted so many of us in the first place. We fell in love with the game YOU wanted to create. Work together, trust yourselves, and continue building on that vision. Player feedback is important, but don't overcompensate trying to satisfy every complaint. Make the game you originally envisioned. Third, PLEASE do NOT introduce vehicle limits for the sake of balance. At that point, you're directly competing with Battlefield. Why should I have to compete with my own teammates for a vehicle respawn when we could all be using those vehicles to compete against the enemy team? One of the suggestions mentioned was adjusting vehicle fuel consumption, and I think that's a fantastic direction to explore. Balance the resources and logistics behind operating vehicles rather than restricting how many people can use them. Fourth, part of what makes WarDogs special is that it isn't perfectly balanced. Anything can happen at any moment, and that's what makes the experience so exciting. At the same time, nearly everything in Season 1 had some form of counterplay. This season, I feel like we've moved away from that philosophy and overtuned certain mechanics instead of allowing players to develop their own counters. Lastly, this video made me reflect on my own criticism of the game. I've realized that I've been overly critical of some of the changes, when in reality, the development team is just a group of guys working hard to bring their vision to life. Going forward, I'm going to make a conscious effort to be more constructive with my feedback rather than going out of my way to criticize every mistake or decision I disagree with. I still care deeply about the direction of this game, and I'll continue speaking up about things I believe could be improved. But I also recognize that the developers deserve patience, respect, and the opportunity to learn from their decisions. At the end of the day, we all want WarDogs to succeed. I just hope the developers continue trusting the vision that made so many of us fall in love with the game in the first place.

@Unc_Xrizzer @HiebDE @SilkOCE @AdamPohh Keep practicing brother!

@oklumberman Smartest reply I’ve seen.

@pandasexpressed I’m assuming you have 100s of hours on helicopters in WarDogs?

@indiehjaerta I’ve got about two decades my self brother, I’m going to keep flying regardless of how much they nerf it.

@fahtbags @TheGWillieG I typically only minigun heli. I will typically use it the entire game regardless of what AA is up lol.

@fahtbags @TheGWillieG I can agree with this take. However when I get off work, I just want to fly around. I get infantry is the main appeal of the game but it doesn’t appeal to me anymore.

@MydiaStardream Fair enough, I apologize for the ignorance.

@CrazyGhost251 The things I would do for a party system in this game!

@TheGWillieG @fahtbags Assault mains will never experience having to stay at a constant 20-30 AGL after getting perma locked all game lol.

@fahtbags I was level 40 Assault in both betas.. this is the first game I’ve ever flown in. Boots on the ground got boring and it wasn’t a challenge.
