@antoinewardjr Me lately 😵‍💫

Netflix, Prime Video, and Hulu all added NINE TO FIVE since Dolly Parton’s passing last week.

MILEY.

Basically what I’ve gathered in the past week is that early on she proved herself to be pure of heart to the bardic gods and once seeing this they gave her all the good side quests

That time Dolly Parton went to Glastonbury and played the Benny Hill theme tune on a rhinestone sax 🎷

Dolly Parton’s final note to children in her Imagination Library is going viral following her death. In the message, Parton encouraged kids receiving their last free book at age 5 to keep reading, dream big, learn as much as they can and care for the people who care for them. She ended the note with a touching reference to her famous song, writing, “Remember … I Will Always Love You, Dolly.” ㅤ [📸: GETTY, @dollyparton ]

Judge me all you want but I’m still not over Dolly. Tonight I’m scrolling TikTok sobbing over videos of her and her passing. She was more than a celebrity, she was a national treasure who was universally beloved by so many.

I’m really okay if my feed never goes back to normal. It’s not doom-scrolling it’s Dolly-scrolling.

Dolly, what a fun ride… ❤️ “I Will Always Love You.” We will always love you! Your light and your music will live on forever. ✨

Now THAT is an icon.

The way Kenny Rogers’ whole face lights up the moment he hears Dolly Parton’s voice coming from offstage. I have always loved this performance so much.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library was the best contribution to child literacy ever made by a celebrity. Our paths crossed once, in the 90s, backstage at a talk show, and I was completely tongue-tied and starstruck. RIP Dolly. You were a complete, irreplaceable one-off.

Dolly…you were pure light, with a kind heart and a generous spirit. We will now be missing one of the most joyful voices this world has ever known. Thank you for the music, the laughter, and the love you gave us all. We will always love you. Rest in peace, Dolly. - Celine xx…

Dolly once wrote me a letter asking if I’d listen to a song she’d written and consider singing it with her. The truth is, I didn’t even listen before I said yes. When Dolly Parton asks, you say yes. When God made Dolly, He broke the mold. This one really hurts. 💔

Rest in Peace Dolly, one of the most brilliant, iconic, and prolific artists of all time. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. I will always love you ❤️

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.

She’s like the ultimate antithesis to the epidemic of young people’s crippling fear of being seen as cringe or being made fun of, she was mocked yeah but she loved who she was and she shared it authentically and unashamed, she was literally the coolest person in history to me.

Dolly Parton forever ❤️ “You are enough. And anyone who tells you otherwise isn’t worth your time.”

The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts. What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. 🦋 I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things. 💖 @dollyparton
