He didn’t just lose Aunt May, MJ, and Ned. He lost five years of his life, then spent another four years living in a world where the people he loved could look directly at him and see a stranger. And somehow, he still chose to be Spider-Man. That’s the part that gets me. Peter had every reason to become bitter, disappear, or decide the world wasn’t worth saving anymore. Instead, he kept helping people who would never even know his name. Peter didn’t stay a hero because his life was good. He stayed a hero because even after everything life took from him, he refused to take that pain out on everyone else.
How cruel is it that Peter Parker spent 5 years being erased from existence, then spent additional 4 years alone due to memories of him being erased from the minds of people he loved? Why did he remain a hero after all of that?
