I always wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck the morning after a meet
"You pr'd in a race? Is that good?"
Trying to explain why you like to run to someone who doesn't run is the biggest waste of time ever.
We go from track season to off-season to cross country season to off-season..
Off season? What is this witchcraft you speak of?
Runners may work really hard, but in the end, I still consider us the laziest group of people ever.
Those who don't know the difference between track and cross country and constantly call them games instead of meets.
I hate track, I hate cross country, and I hate running competitively so much. But I would hate not doing any of it even more.
When trying to buy more running gear..
"When was the last time you had a day off?" Me:
When coach mentions the terrible workout we will be doing in the hundred degree weather
When a bystander yells at me to run faster..
Having a meet on a day when it's like a hundred degrees
When coach asks if I ran over the weekend
