Too many "introduction" emails start with, "Would you be interested in buying our service."

FB got hacked 10Aug. Recovered 3 days later. Then locked 7 days later due to suspicious activity. No link to fix. No get started. 7 different support chats (all canned replies) Best advice they can give is "try later" Why does this have to be so hard?

Friday's are definitely "no deploy" days. Even the smoothest launches deserve attention and follow-up. Save your sanity and keep Friday's for those internal projects that are too easy to put off.

Talking with a client re: a scorecard we implemented for their team. C-levels excited to see improvement in overall score. Showed them the subsets where scores actually fell. They took to change, "Thanks for letting us know where to focus next." I love true change agents.

Had a fantastic conversation with my teenage son today about the power of interest. We walked through examples of savings and loans, big and small. He was amazed. Start teaching your kids now, these are the lessons that shape their lives. Empower then for success.

Saw it again, today. A post survey with biased options. This time, it was "what do you think of the new Twitter logo" and all of the responses were a variation of "I don't like it." People use these biased "studies" and then present the "findings" as meaningful. Smh

Too many ideas fizzle and die due to poor research and lack of follow through. 1. Do your homework. 2. Do the hard work. 3. Endure. 4. Do more homework. 5. Shift (don't completely change directions) as needed. Repeat 1-5 for as long as you're in the game.

Do you look for ways to celebrate others or tear them down? In my circles, I see/read a lot of posts from authors with a primary language other than English. They make solid points, but the trolls are more interested in the broken English than the solid logic. Find the value.

Today was an exciting day. We inspected our bee hive (a swarm we caught last year) and they're going strong! We even got to taste some of their honey....gotta admit, they do good work!
