This is the most difficult thing I've ever written & one of the most personal. It's about a little girl who loved softball & the #Phillies, fishing & Springsteen. My family did it in the hope it might help someone. Please give it a read if you can. Thanks. inquirer.com/sports/columni…
@MikeSielski I don’t know you sir, but your writing is a gift to you and your family as well as others. I hope this article was therapeutic for all of you. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
@MikeSielski I've mentioned this elsewhere, but this is truly a great column. And Mike Sielski is one of the greatest writers around, no hyperbole. I don't know him well, except tangentially through work (and my mom taught him in HS), but he's one of the nicest, most genuine guys out there.
@MikeSielski I always read your sports columns and knew that this one was going to be powerful and it is. When reading your words I felt the deep love you have for your family. Thank you for being brave and sharing. I believe that it WILL help someone.
@MikeSielski Stunning and important column. Thank you for writing this, Mike.
@MikeSielski Typing after drying my tears…this was so beautifully written, so touching and so heartbreaking at the same time. Thank you for sharing Mike. Longtime Inquirer subscriber, love your work.
