3/31/2023 #Rainbow After a shower of rain, rain drops are suspended in air and when a ray of light enters this drop, the drop acts as a prism and splits into its component colors as dispersion takes place. 🌈
3/30/2023 #garlic 2/3 of all the garlic grown in the world comes from China at an estimated 46 billion lbs per year. Billion with a B.
3/292023 #golf 25.6 million people play golf in the U.S. Only an estimated 1.5% of that number carry a 0 or better handicap. Golf is tuff.
3/28/2023 #cottonmouth A Cottonmouth’s eggs are kept inside the female's body until the eggs are ready to "hatch." Because fertilization and pregnancy are based on the female's physical condition, gestation periods vary from snake to snake and season to season.
3/25/2023 #mirror Mirrors don’t just reflect light. They also reflect sound if the sound being produced is coming from behind the mirror or at an angle. Go yell at your mirror. See for yourself.
Quick hint for this week’s newsletter:
3/24/2023 #gym Did you know that your competition is in the gym right now? Go get it in.
3/23/2023 #clean On average American parents who live with a partner spend 5 hours and 54 minutes per week on cleaning and house work. Outsourcing work will literally buy your time back.
3/22/2023 #shower The average shower lasts about 8min. If you take the average US citizen lifespan of 77 years and add two showers a day….. Humans spend an estimated 64,000 minutes in the shower in their life. 1,066 hours. 44 days.
3/21/2023 #dirty The dirtiest item that almost everyone owns is… a cell phone. What now, germaphobes? Go get some clorox.
All bullshit aside, if you only ever read one of my tweets, let it be this. I’m not a mental health expert or anything, but candidly, I have a family member that deals with depression and it’s taught me one thing above all else. No matter how great your life is in any given moment, you cant expect to be at your happiest 24/7/365. You’ve gotta come down from the highs every now and then to see just how good they were in the moment. But just because you aren’t at your happiest right now doesn’t mean you’ll be at the bottom forever.
3/20/2023 #Tomatoes Tomatoes are the most consumed vegetable in the world by far. 177 million metric tons of global production compared to 2nd place onions at 93 million metric tons. Ever taken a straight bite out of a tomato?
3/19/2023 #degree Of all the people in the US over the age 25, 23.5% have a bachelor’s degree. That is honestly a lot higher than I thought it was going to be.
3/18/2023 #bar The average college student spends minimum 2x more on alcohol than books for the semester. We need to get into the college bar business.
3/17/2023 #StPatricksDay The celebration started in 1631 when the Church established a Feast Day honoring St. Patrick. The Irish Americans would wear green as a reminder that they were nationalists first and foremost. Green in the Irish flag symbolizes Irish nationalism.
3/16/2023 #health The U.S. adult obesity rate stands at 42.4 percent. The national adult obesity rate has increased by 26 percent since 2008. Go exercise. 0 excuse to be out of shape. You owe it to your friends and family.
3/15/2023 #fantasy Fantasy gridiron football emerged in 1962 when Bill Winkenbach, then part owner of the Oakland Raiders football team, gathered with some friends and together created the first fantasy football league. It was later introduced online in 1997.
3/14/2023 #navy Navy football leads the all-time series with a 62-53-7 over the Army's Black nights. Navy football also enjoys the longest win streak in the series- 14 wins from 2002-2015.
3/13/2023 #forest The undisputed largest forest is probably the most famous forest on earth, the South American Amazon. With its fabulous 5,500,000 km2 , not only has the largest area, but is also home to one in ten species existing on earth.
2/17/2023 #time Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time. They asked the US government for an exemption, stating that it was so hot they did not want to "save any more daylight". And i'd rather it not get dark at 4:30pm every day but whatever.
