Hope all my American compatriots had a great Thanksgiving. Not gonna lie, it's been a tough year for us like everyone else. And yet, in some ways this is the most hopeful I have ever been in God's work where we are. Keep digging out there. #missions #missionsproblems

It’s been a minute. Heard this recently and thought it too good not to share. On being Spirit filled vs separated. There are separated people who are lost but no one who is spirit filled can be lost. What am I as a missionary to major on? #missions

On furlough a while now after having been on the field for years. Always irritates me when i see guys I went to Bible college with and try to approach them just to catch up and they avoid me thinking I'm trying to hit them up for a meeting. #missions #missionsproblems

If the culture in your church/family does not actively love & accept those who have questions, don’t be surprised when young people, who parroted your message at first, walk away. They’re not hypocrites. They seek an authenticity rooted in truth that is not shaken by questions.

Missionaries are not superhuman. We struggle with the same things that you do. We want to be obedient to God's calling. That said, holidays are tough. It has been years since I've hugged one of my kids neck. That can be hard. Pray for your missionaries #missionsproblems #missions

Trying to pre-qualify a surgery using my American insurance that *claims to* cover me in Europe has been a huge disaster. If they realized that by having the surgery here I am saving them 3-4x the costs of doing it there they would be acting diff...nevermind. #MissionsProblems

As expats celebrating one of our holidays it is a great time to invite people over to experience your traditions as well as an outreach opportunity. It is foolish to not use every chance we have to reach out to those around us. #missions

I chuckle as I see all of the "black friday" sales here in Europe. They don't celebrate Thanksgiving or really understand why it is called black friday but hey, it's a sale! #missions

In studying for a message from John 3, it reminded me of George Whitfield who, when asked why he preached so often that “ye must be born again” responded, because ye must be born again. Poems, stories and illustrations are nice but let’s remember, ye must be born again. #missions

I endeavor to give out pearls of...I shan't say wisdom; let's say observation. Yea, much better. Missions is a continual learning experience and I don't think I'll ever consider myself a veteran even though I've spent more than 10 years on the field. #missions #missionsproblems
