🚨‼️ LADIES PLEASE SHARE ‼️🚨 I just had an unsafe interaction with an @Uber driver: he refused to confirm his name for me 3x to verify my ride and very forcefully insisted to “Just get in the car if you want a ride!” I just slammed the door and said “Absolutely not!” He did NOT look like his photo. He was a completely different race. Please don’t put your safety in danger. Trust your instincts. Every. Time.
@ModelAyshaMirza @Uber Honestly, you were smart to be vigilant. I have stories & am grateful that I was paying attention. It was never with Uber, though. Is Lyft still the one that women recommend as safest? 🤷🏼♀️
@ModelAyshaMirza @Uber Interesting. A Lyft driver told me a few weeks ago that Uber and Lyft use a common company to verify accounts/identity now, so maybe some fraud is down, but folks still need to work to earn money, so they may be using a strawman account. This is my just my guess.
@ModelAyshaMirza @Uber I feel like not pairing him with you again doesn't solve the problem (although glad for you) because you know he's going to do it to the next girl smdh
@ModelAyshaMirza @Uber In Atlanta, friends have mentioned drivers showing up that do not match the quote. It is growing ever more common. Registered drivers are allowing non registered friends, relatives (?) to drive in their place.
@ModelAyshaMirza @Uber It's so good you listened to your instincts!
