That’s because Julius Rosenwald who was President and owner of Sears, started over 5000 schools for blacks in the south during segregation, pre 1954. It was not just the Sears merchandise, it was the Sears mission. Blacks were friends to Sears because Sears was a friend to us!

Light travels faster than sound. The eyes and brain are not trained to see and process things n real time. If you watch a video of someone getting shot, you do not see the bullet, you hear it. By the time you hear it, the bullet has exited the chamber, w/unbalanced force response
