Today I learned that the Grampian Mountains in Scotland are so-called because of a typo. Tacitus, writing c. AD 100, referred to a battle in Caledonia at a place called Mons Graupius, but in a printed edition of 1476 this was mistakenly spelt 'Grampius' and the name stuck.

Had an unexpected DMing session at the weekend. Was a bit sleepy and forgot every adjective except 'angry'. To be fair, it fit the abominable yeti and T-Rex pretty well. #dnd5e

Soon, I'll finally start Plutarch's Lives, a mere decade or so after actually getting it. Not that I'm absentminded... On the plus side, I'll probably have heard of more of the chaps when I read it than I had when I got it.

Incidentally, for those after TTRPG lore stuff, I recently found Mythkeeper's YouTube channel (Pathfinder stuff), and have been enjoying @MrRhexx's DnD content for years. The latter's dragon videos are one reason I made sure to have some green dragon evil in my homebrew.

I don't mind using AI art for my own character avatars (whether NPCs as a DM, or PCs as a player). But it feels a bit... wrong to use it for races or classes. Which is kind of annoying as drawing them myself (as well as being less than amazing) takes a long time.
