@FortniteGame destruction system got a massive upgrade. The FX team has been focused for awhile. Massive re-factor to core system, that touched every world asset in the game. It's all procedural Niagara driven. Not only better quality, but fewer assets to manage!
The beauty of this is, no pre-fracturing of meshes. It's all managed via Mats, Niagara, and BP. The system is also fed a vector to determine which direction and velocity to launch debris, by impact location and damage type.
The dream, going all the way back to Paragon days. @shaunkime and the whole Niagara crew, crushing it with Eric Ketchum, and the @FortniteGame FX team.
