Today we hugged Chris for the last time and said goodbye as he went to give four people the gift of life by donating his kidneys, liver and lungs. We are deeply broken and deeply proud. In life and in death, Chris never stopped giving. We walk forward with his light guiding us.

I saw some footage of the Iranian protests earlier and, interestingly, there wasn’t a single hot tub or bouncy castle in sight. It’s almost like protests against actual oppressive, dangerous governments don’t allow for things like that. Huh.
Last fall, my hospital lost it’s pregnancy ward because of spiking covid admissions. But, when covid admissions dropped, we never got it back. This has had just a terrible impact on my moms. I’m tired of staying quiet.

Shared w permission from a colleague: pregnant AB mom had an emergency and called 911. When the ambulance wasn’t there an hour later, she took a taxi to hospital. The ambulance arrived the next day…I’ll keep sharing these stories until something changes.
