Beep beep, lunch is ready! 🚍 @swartz_creek plans to transform a decommissioned special needs bus into a food truck to deliver meals to students in the school district. bit.ly/2H0R0Ym

Today marks 1 year since I started in this position. I had the most positive department meeting & found a fun drawing left by a brand new student❤️. My heart is full.

Just told my HUSBAND to take his hood off, if you’re wondering how bad I needed spring break.

When 4th hour comes in stressed & full of energy, we find a way to channel it before lunch! Proud of them for working to a positive attitude & earning this reward.

Today in Y6 we looked at poems that could be read forwards & backwards. I was stunned by this one written by one of my 10 year olds. Please share - I would love her work to be appreciated further afield. I wonder if it could even find a publisher?

I always steer clear of three kinds of teachers: 1) those who always talk bad about their students 2) those who always talk bad about colleagues or admin and 3) those who always talk bad about the school. Attitudes are contagious and I don’t want to catch what they’ve got.

@MissHouk Started mid-year & the classroom had been w/o a teacher! I spent at least a week on building classroom culture. Hear them! They all share 1/2 a year of experiences already, so listening & creating a contract together was helpful. ❤️ You got this!
