There was no such thing as a "work event" in May 2020, or not for 67m people. There was work. And socialising was at home alone or with family on Zoom, or with one person at a distance in the park. The work event concept Boris keeps referring to was simply not a thing.

I feel sad today about what the Prime Minister has said today & the way it was said. The fact the rules weren’t applied to the rule-makers while the whole of the rest of the country was being rigorous to the point of suffering devastating pain and loneliness. It feels shameless.

@susannareid100 Absolute tosh! What's worse is the fact they are trying to justify their behaviour. Disgusting! Its us that have lost valuable months/years of memories. My mother hasn't seen her grandchildren in 18 months because they are a risk. Sickening behaviour.
