We shouldn’t need a viral video of the husband of a sexually harassed trainee fighting the (male) presenter/perpetrator at an @acog meeting to remind us that sexual harassment is a HUGE problem in medicine. We may not talk about it, but there are exactly 0 women in medicine surprised that something like this could have happened. 🧵

A few days ago, an LAPD officer accidentally shot and killed Valentina Orellana Peralta, a 14-year-old girl trying on dresses for her quinceañera. The cop was shooting at an assault suspect – who didn't have a gun, either. No deescalation. The cop just started shooting.
