A3 Related to this, it’s crucial that books from school go home. No telling kids they can only borrow one book from the library at a time, or denying borrowing for kids who didn’t return a book from last week. Want kids to read at home? They need books. #ILAChat

A2 Consistency is key. I always tell my students that I’m looking for what they do consistently. It should be the same for teachers. 45 minute visits in their classroom twice a year doesn’t allow for the needed reflection and feedback. #satchat

I'm going to echo Carol here! Strategies are the how to....eventually they need to fade away as children become more engaged, accurate, fluent, or learn to deeply understand (whatever the strategy is teaching the child to get stronger with).
