Just attended “Metacognition and Co-Created Anchor Charts” class taught by Anna Box. Great class! Thanks for emphasizing the importance of Anchor Charts in the classroom. Not cheap but super effective. So I set up a Donor Choose page. donorschoose.org/project/anchor… #nctmslc19

A4 I’m proud of being able to see the questions before they come. Preemptively planning out for the whys before and being prepared with strong answers allows us to instill more confidence in the students that their questions are valid and heard. #NCTMSLC19

A3: Math game play is a great way to re-engage students and get them extra practice in a fun way! My two go-tos are Teacher trivia (mix of questions about their teachers and math questions) and quizziz.com #NCTMSLC19

A2 Kids need to have a better buy in for math. Kids love technology nowadays. Having more funding for technology ESPECIALLY in a difficult subject like math is essential. How can we get more involvement in our classes without playing to our students habits? #NCTMslc19

A1 I try to preemptively greet said students at the door and welcome them for the day and try to get them pumped for today’s lesson, maybe with a, “get excited we’re going to be exploring fractions today, and learning fun ways to handle them.” #NCTMSLC19
