NPs shouldn’t exist? Share a positive interaction you’ve had with an NP, as patient or colleague. I’ll go first: an oncology Nurse Practitioner added us in for a same day appointment for my mom (and our whole family) to explain and set up hospice care. They were amazing❤️
@TheBlondeRN I specifically prefer NPs as my primary care provider. Been seeing the same one now for over a decade and I couldn’t be happier.
@MuellerSheWrote Love to hear you’ve had great care!
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN Me too! I prefer them as well.
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN Yes! While my regular md primary care dr only cared about checking boxes and trying to upsell their supplements the NP actually took time and listened to me.
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN Same. I've had an NP primary care physician for two decades.
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN My daughter is in her second semester of grad school to become a NP and I couldn't be more proud! This whole thread is awesome!!!
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN My daughter is a pediatric nurse practitioner, so of course I think their great.
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN Same here! I feel like they take me more seriously with my care and any concerns or questions that I have.
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN Agreed! I wish I had an NP as my primary care provider… I’d be going into my IUD insertion today with a lot more trust and not having to pay an extra fee my MD is charging me…
@MuellerSheWrote @TheBlondeRN I agree . If it wasn’t for the NP , it would take months for an appointment with the primary to open up
