Sometimes you have to celebrate failure. My friends and I participated in a murder mystery night and were awarded with the title "The Most (Creative) Wrong Answer". Even though we lost we still laughed because we tried anyway. Failure means you tried. 💜

Today I tried out one of the Discovery Ed SOS vocabulary strategies! I had the kids pick a root word from this week's list, tell me the meaning, an example word, and an illustration! Lots of fun!
In lieu of New Year Resolutions, I had my students create S.M.A.R.T. goals! Be specific, measurable, attainable, reasonable, and timely.

On Wednesdays I have my kids do a 'Compliment Circle'. They have to give one genuine compliment to the person next to them. That person can only say "thank you". No negating. Today they asked if they could do a 'Roast Circle'. My response? "No roasting. This isn't an oven!"
