Wendy’s is testing AI in some of their drive thrus
@Dexerto they had something like this at @DairyQueen and it had me waiting for 10mins with a line building behind me only to find out they were closed but didn't turn off the AI 💀💀

@NINEEEv @Dexerto @DairyQueen Same vibes
This made me chuckle. Someone didn't see this as a possible scenario when they designed the system. Hopefully the software developers comes up with a solution that allows the system to know if the store is open or closed based on hours of operation or when the store manager closes the registers for the day and or clocks out. Without knowing their systems and how AI interacts with it, that's the approach I would explore first.
@NINEEEv @Dexerto @DairyQueen 1/2 It’s not an AI, most drive thrus have the same system that operates. It alerts the drive thru employee that there is a vehicle in the drive thru and they can talk. Instead of the person talking, you can play an automatic message thru the comms when a vehicle is detected.
@NINEEEv @Dexerto @DairyQueen Maybe that's actual sabotage. It wouldn't surprise me. 🤭 People will try do to almost anything to keep a job. Unfortunately, change is inevitable.
