@TOAdamVaughan @therealmrbench You left out why these TRQs are consistently underfilled, and it's not due to lack of supply from the American side.

@gspell68 @DanCrenshawTX Title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 4 (38 CFR Part 4) is the official VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities. Here is the proposed rule change: regulations.gov/document/VA-20… The change has been proposed since 2022.

@SenTomCotton There is a legislative fix for this. Significantly increase criminal penalties for unlawful border crossings, and criminalize overstaying your visa or missing your immigration hearing. Right now the door is wide open. Start throwing people in jail and watch how fast that deters.

@realalexclark @realAaronBergh Aaron is right. A tactic of the left is to use lawfare to cripple essential, unfavored, industries such as agrochemical, petroleum, firearm, etc. Please don't fall for this Alex.

@PA_NDC @bluetriumphst @MomAngtrades By the mid 2000s when shit was hitting the fan with Iraq the military wasn't letting guys "quit" easily. They were NJPing, stripping them of their rank, pay, liberties, and still deploying them, only to OTH separate them after they returned. But yeah man, they quit alright!

@PA_NDC @bluetriumphst @MomAngtrades You lock yourself out of many jobs in all levels of gov't, not just fed. And if you live in a blue area, an OTH discharge is considered a major moral character transgression when applying for a CCP. These aren't simply repercussions. And again, it's at the gov't's sole discretion

@PA_NDC @bluetriumphst @MomAngtrades Who said anything about rights? This is about whether you can quit (you can't) and whether getting tossed has negative consequences (it does). I'm old enough to remember troops getting arrested for not wanting to go to Iraq. Back then it wasn't so easy to even get admin separated

@PA_NDC @bluetriumphst @MomAngtrades Losing access to any level of gov't employment for making a mistake at 18 is a pretty substantially neg consequence. Again, that's not simply quitting. And for this convo only disability is relevant as @MomAngtrades has deemed certain disabilities for certain vets as fraudulent.

@PA_NDC @bluetriumphst @MomAngtrades Getting thrown out is not quitting. Your ability to leave is solely at the mercy of the government and separations have lifelong negative consequences. Also, Feres bars performance of injury duties which is exactly why VA disability exists, regardless of whether a vet saw combat.

@LaurieFoos @AraquelBloss @LindseyGrahamSC There's no gaslighting. The video is clear that he committed a crime when he stepped in front of law enforcement performing their duties.
