Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world, and Muslims are the ones behind it. In the Middle East, Christians have been pushed to the brink of extinction. It’s crazy how little the world cares. I guess it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Friendly reminder that that PPSH also serves as a makeshift chair in emergencies.

Viva Costa Rica. 🇨🇷

The Castro regime has profited at the expense of the Cuban people with luxury cars, expensive watches and a private island resort. As I shared this with the world, regime thugs rushed the stage to interrupt my speech. They can intimidate their own people in Cuba but think again about trying that nonsense in the United States of America.

Vi står bakom Ukraina. Ryssland visar inga tecken på att det är fred de är ute efter, utan snarare underkastelse. Det kan vi aldrig acceptera.

He was a teenager serving an anti-tank gun in the desert when a wave of British tanks came at his position, and he knocked out seven of them, stopping the attack almost single-handedly. Günter Halm became one of the youngest soldiers to win the Knight's Cross, for a stand in the sands of Egypt in the summer before El Alamein. Halm was a very young soldier, barely out of boyhood, serving in an anti-tank platoon of a Panzergrenadier regiment in Rommel's Afrika Korps during the fighting around El Alamein in July 1942, the first battle there, before the great showdown in October. His unit was manning a captured Russian anti-tank gun, pressed into German service, when a strong British tank attack rolled toward the German position, a mass of armor meant to overrun the defenders. Halm held his fire and then went to work with a coolness remarkable in anyone, let alone a teenager under the terror of a tank charge. Firing the gun as the tanks came on, he hit them one after another, knocking out tank after tank at close range, seven of them in all by the time it was over, breaking up the attack and stopping the British armor almost by himself before it could overrun the position. It was a feat of nerve and marksmanship that saved his sector. For destroying seven tanks and halting the attack, Halm was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross in August 1942, an extraordinary honor for so young and junior a soldier, and he became briefly famous as one of the youngest recipients, held up at home as an example of courage. He had done, with one gun, what whole units often failed to do, stood in the path of a tank attack and broken it. Halm survived the desert war, and indeed survived the whole war, which many of the men in these profiles did not. He lived a long life afterward, an old soldier who had, as a teenager, won his country's highest award for valor by stopping a tank charge with a single gun in the Egyptian desert. His stand was part of the long, see-sawing struggle at El Alamein that would reach its climax in October, the desert war where anti-tank gunnery, the duel between gun and tank, so often decided who held the ground, as it did at Snipe and across that whole battlefield.

“In Memory of my husband Pete who served in the Army in NAM ‘67-‘68. He served honorably and was a good man. Pete passed away December 2003 from his Agent Orange exposure, a life cut so short.🕊️ We will never forget him or all the Vets, victims of AO.” - Vietnam Veteran Widow #AgentOrange #RIP #TheVietnamWar

Ground robots already evacuate the wounded across the frontline. Now evacuation is taking to the air. StarGate, Ukraine’s first aerial drone designed for this mission, can carry up to 150 kg, with a stretcher compartment built in. In just one week, it has already been used to evacuate two seriously wounded warriors from the gray zone, where ground vehicles could not reach them.

🇺🇸 WAMBI COOK — HE REFUSED TO LEAVE HIS BROTHER BEHIND In Vietnam, Wambi Cook served as a paratrooper with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade—the legendary Sky Soldiers. During some of the fiercest fighting around Dak To, Cook found himself in a fight where men were wounded, ammunition was running low, and the enemy kept pressing the attack. Cook was wounded, yet he stayed in the fight. When two medics were badly wounded, Cook refused to abandon them. One of those medics was Rick Patterson, who was critically wounded but ultimately survived. Reinforcements could not immediately reach Cook's position. His fellow soldiers, themselves pinned down on higher ground, did what they could—they rolled grenades down to him. Cook used those grenades to defend his position while continuing to protect the wounded. Then came the moment that says everything about the man. He went back for the wounded medic. Under fire, Cook helped get him out. That's what the word brotherhood means. It isn't just a word veterans throw around. It is knowing that when everything has gone to hell, someone is willing to risk his own life to make sure you are not left behind. Wambi Cook survived Vietnam and went on to help preserve the stories and memories of the men of the 173rd Airborne Brigade. His story will also be featured in Killing Charlie, a forthcoming book preserving the combat experiences of Vietnam veterans. We owe men like Wambi Cook more than a thank-you.
