I’ve already made several improvements to the game systems since the migration, and development is moving again. More updates soon. 😎

I’ve finally had time to return to the project. I decided not to continue the full C# rewrite since rebuilding everything would take too long, so I’m keeping the existing Lua systems and moving the game from LÖVE to Defold.

It’s been almost a year since I last posted about the game. I wasn’t happy with the UI in LÖVE, so I spent around 4 months rebuilding parts of the project in C# while looking for a new engine. After that, work and studies forced me to put development on hold for a while.

Hello! I’m looking for 10 people to join a closed testing group. I’ll announce the dates soon, since the game is still in early development. The game will be paid and won’t have an alpha or beta release—it will launch only when it’s fully finished with all planned features. TY4U!

I think that to show all the content of the game I have so far, the video would last 10 minutes. It's my game, just in case, only for PC. 🧐

I uploaded a new devlog with some new images. I'll upload a gameplay video very soon. There are still many things to polish, but the event system and the feature that allows the artist you create to die are already working.

I'll leave the maximum at 250 for each region for now. I may lower it to 200 if there is too much lag, since the NPCs will be like playing against other players (they will be autonomous), so they will use a lot of CPU.

How many NPCs per continent should be the max? Right now the cap is 100 per continent (6 continents, so 600 NPCs total). I’m trying to optimize this system as much as possible since it’ll be the heart of the game.

First devlog published on Itchio covering the game design logic. The system is programmed, but I am prioritizing other mechanics before starting the UI. Your feedback is key. 🫡 newsimgames.itch.io/rising-sound/d… #gamedev #indiedev #RisingSound
