@NewYorker @ava The scene took my breath away. I’ve stood over that spot in Berlin; yet yesterday I saw a photo of classroom copies of Toni Morrison’s “The Bluest Eye” being boxed up & taken out of schools in TX or FL. It was a gut-punch scene, excellent movie…now off to read the book.
